You might have heard about the recent trend of online entrepreneurs making millions of dollars on the Internet. The Internet is a massive and dynamic marketplace, and has helped thousands of people to become millionaires in some cases almost overnight. In its relatively short lifespan, marketing over the Internet has become a sophisticated and intricate process which is much more effective today than it was in the mid-90s when the Internet came on the scene. Today Internet entrepreneurs are using a myriad of tactics and techniques to reach out to potential customers, and to do business with them. If you are trying to create a strong personal brand, one of the best tools at your disposal is the publication of business articles. Particularly if your content is fresh, compelling, and valuable, the publication of articles will have people knocking on your door, and flooding your inbox for more.

In the days before the Internet, publishing articles was a little bit more difficult. After writing the article, one had to find a market in the form of a magazine or newspaper that would be willing to publish it. This could take months or even years before a publication accepted an article for print, and then even after it was accepted there was no guarantee it would actually be published.

Today, using the Internet, publishing an article is as simple as a click of a mouse. There are many companies available online who publish and distribute articles for free. These resources literally make thousands of submissions of your article to any number of online resources. It stands to reason that the more places your article appears, the more people will read it and the more value it will have to your business.

Articles are also useful for improving the search engine ranking [...] Continue Reading…

Websites That Work

Not all that long ago, websites were little more than a company’s electronic brochure. The website was intended to be a static resource that presented information about a company in hopes of acquiring new business. Particularly in the early days of the web, interactivity was not a typical component of overall website functionality. Many companies spent thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars creating fancy websites with huge amounts of custom graphics and long form copy. When flash programming became commonplace, companies turned to animation to make their sites stand out and attract attention.

Hard-core Internet marketing experts however are finding that when it comes to websites more is not necessarily better. Today’s high-powered website is designed to do one thing and one thing only – convert prospective shoppers into paying customers. In order to do this, website designers have significantly changed their approach.

The key now is to go with a simple – often limited to a single page – site that is called a landing page, a capture page, or a squeeze page. The site is presented in the form of copy with wide margins on both sides, typically requiring the customer to scroll down several times to [...] Continue Reading…

How To Use Twitter

Anyone involved in network marketing over the Internet should integrate Twitter into their marketing mix. Twitter is a somewhat unique social networking site that limits entries to 140 words or less. Clearly, with a Twitter entry – or a Tweet as it’s called – the marketer cannot put forth an extended marketing message. But that’s not what Twitter is really designed to do. Twitter is a way of staying in touch with people on a real-time basis. You send a Tweet when something important happens, or when you want to update everybody in your contact list about something.

Like other social networking sites, Twitter requires users to follow other users similar to declaring a friend in Facebook. The use of Twitter starts by inviting people to sign up and follow you on your website or your blog. Anybody who chooses to follow you on Twitter will then receive all of your updates.

Once you have a following, use Twitter to keep them posted on the latest and greatest coming from your business. The use of Twitter is particularly valuable when sending out notices of a new product, a new opportunity, or something that has dramatically changed in your enterprise. Use the [...] Continue Reading…

The recession has hurt everybody. Millions upon millions of people are unemployed, and many more are expected to join them over the next year or so. The unemployment rate today is approaching double digits and expected to go higher. The global economic scene is in a state of disarray with huge banks, insurance companies, automobile manufacturers and any number of other businesses suffering from the severe downturn.

For many people these are very bleak times. But the truth of the matter is that if you still are alive, you can make things improve. It starts first with an attitude that despite what has been thrown at you you’ll survive and succeed. If you get down and become depressed, you lose your motivation for life and it will be very difficult to climb out of this economic hole. But by simply reflecting on what you have, and being thankful for it you’ll begin the process of self recovery.

The stress that times like this place on us can be monumental. If you are still lucky enough to be employed by a company or another person, you probably spend a good deal of your time worrying about being laid off. This is only [...] Continue Reading…

A Big Community

One of the reasons bricks and mortar businesses have such a difficult time during a recession is that they are fully dependent upon the local community for their support. Especially in towns where the main employer may be undergoing large-scale layoffs or even a business closure, the entire community suffers because the amount of disposable income declines dramatically. When all of the neighbors on the block are unemployed, even if they want to spend money in your bricks and mortar store, they can’t. Furthermore, anyone who operates a typical bricks and mortar business draws customers from a relatively limited geographical area.

Large national retailers may have the advantage of drawing from a slightly larger radius, but in the event of a regional recession, they suffer as well. Only with an infusion of cash and customers from outside of a financially distressed region can affected businesses continue to operate and succeed. Recessionary woes tend to create a cascade effect as a large-scale regional employer begins to crumble, and then everything else in the community follows.

The Internet however is a different story. The Internet connects over 1 billion people globally, it is open for business 24/7, seven days a week. Even in [...] Continue Reading…

The Power Of The Network

Entrepreneurs have long realized that network marketing is a very powerful moneymaking process. By employing the power of the network, a network marketing entrepreneur can leverage time and money and make a superlative income with minimal personal effort. Because a network expands geometrically, as a network marketer builds a robust downline, income continues to grow and scale.

Even Donald Trump recognizes the power of network marketing and routinely advises people who are looking to build their income and increase their wealth to become involved in a network marketing opportunity. The fundamental business model behind a network marketing enterprise is solid, lucrative, and highly profitable.

The downside of course is that the typical network marketing opportunity is not something that most people want to be affiliated with. In old school network marketing, or multilevel marketing (MLM), the model used to actually market products or services was very tedious, and unappealing. Marketers were told to make a list of friends, family, and business associates—called a warm list – and then market aggressively to them. The prospects got tired of hearing the message, the entrepreneur got tired of not making any sales, and ultimately 97% of everybody who started in an MLM enterprise simply [...] Continue Reading…

Run It Like A Business

It is not uncommon for home-based entrepreneurs to forget the fact that they are in fact running a business. Working from home offers many conveniences and luxuries. You do not have to deal with the daily commute, you do not have to deal with surly coworkers, and you do not have to deal with a demanding boss either. The refrigerator is within easy reach, as is the couch. The problem with all this of course is that it is extremely easy to get distracted.

The first and most important aspect of working from home is to have the discipline necessary to actually work. There are stories about entrepreneurs who take this to an extreme and actually dress in a suit and tie or office appropriate attire in order to set the tone for their daily labors. This might be an extreme, but it is a thought in the right direction.

Working from home is exceptionally comfortable and convenient. It is something that anybody can take advantage of it they are fed up with the daily grind and their job in general. But once again it is critical to realize that working from home is not a hobby. It is not time [...] Continue Reading…

New School Vs. Old School

Posted by Ron Meijerink | Posted in Multi Level Marketing, Network Marketing | Posted on 26-08-2009

Multilevel marketing has changed. In the old school MLM model, entrepreneurs were encouraged to create a warm list of prospects. This warm list included family, friends, relatives, business associates, and anybody else who the entrepreneur knew and could contact directly. After the warm list had been drawn up, the entrepreneur would begin contacting these people and relentlessly barraging them with a sales and marketing message.

The object was to not only get the warm list contact to buy products or services from the entrepreneur, but to “join the opportunity.” The problem of course was that most of the people contacted were simply being polite to the entrepreneur who they knew and in many cases had a relationship with. But after a period of time, the endless recruiting and pressure became a nuisance, and the warm list became a very cold list. It was not uncommon for the old school MLM entrepreneur to spend more money on the business than they were making, and consequently about 97% failed.

The unfortunate fact is that the underlying business structure of an MLM enterprise is very strong. Network marketing, which offers the opportunity for geometric growth, is a very powerful business model. Network marketing allows [...] Continue Reading…

Beware Of Scams

If you are searching online today for ways to deal with recessionary stress, be advised that everybody is trying to take your money. There are an astounding number of scams, shams, and downright dishonest opportunities that have no value whatsoever. Because the Internet accesses so many people, even if just a small fraction of those individuals participate in one of the scams, the perpetrators can make literally millions of dollars.

But just because there are people trying to steal your money online does not mean that the Internet is not a good place to make money for yourself. The Internet is a powerful and dynamic marketplace that puts an entrepreneur into direct contact with over 1 billion people worldwide. It is the most efficient method ever devised by man to deliver marketing messages, and to conduct commerce with a geographically huge marketplace.

Becoming a successful Internet entrepreneur is simply a matter of finding a legitimate business opportunity and tapping into it. You need to know how to be able to spot the scams and to steer clear from them. This process requires a significant amount of work in the form of due diligence. By going online, and identifying opportunities that seem [...] Continue Reading…
